Question 1

What does CartKestrel monitor?

Accepted Answer

CartKestrel monitors supplier price and stock changes in catalog data that a retailer imports. It compares the current catalog values with proposed supplier values so the retailer can review what changed.

Question 2

How are proposed listing changes reviewed?

Accepted Answer

The preview identifies changed price and stock fields, including new SKUs where no current catalog value exists. After review, the retailer can select data to export.

Question 3

Can retailers define the rules?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Retailers can save maximum price increase and decrease percentages, a maximum stock-change unit limit, and a policy for a supplier-reported zero-stock value. These rules guide the preview; they do not update a retailer listing by themselves.

Question 4

What makes a change unusual?

Accepted Answer

A price or stock change is flagged when it crosses the retailer's saved threshold. The preview shows the threshold label, limit, observed change, and unit. When a price baseline is unavailable, the change can receive manual-review guidance; CartKestrel does not describe that as a live alert.

Question 5

How does CartKestrel explain a change?

Accepted Answer

The preview and inbox expose the current and proposed values, the saved rule message, and any threshold details. The change report explains pending, flagged, approved, and skipped outcomes. Approval is a review decision and does not update an external retailer listing; the current workflow remains import, review and confirm, then selected export.
